Lead Application Developer Product Engineering Audit & Assurance  

Must be located in Hermitage/Nashville, TN or Tampa, FL

Work you’ll do   

A unique opportunity to be a part of growing Product Engineering team that drives consistency, quality, and efficiency of the services delivered to various internal and external clients. You will be responsible for delivering Web Application solutions to support Deloitte Member Firm. Additional responsibilities include designing and deploying custom products and complex workflows. 

Technical Skills:

  • Good analytical skills to understand the requirements
  • Problem Solving Ability 
  • Perform hands-on coding
  • Good knowledge or working experience in Agile projects - SAFe Agile process
  • Work experience in designing modules, estimation, task management for self and team
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills to resolve the technical skills
  • Very strong in web development which includes .NET6+ , ASP.NET MVC (4.0 / 5.0), HTML 5, CSS
  • Very strong in C# as development language, .NET framework concepts and implementation and OOPs concepts
  • Very Strong SQL Server (includes working with DML, DDL, Stored procedures,)
  • Strong in services development and hosting for ASP.NET Web API
  • Strong in writing automated unit testing code
  • Demonstrate ability to apply Microsoft Practices and Patterns
  • Working experience on Performance Tuning of an application using C# and SQL.
  • React with Redux, Typescript, Node JS, Socket IO
  • Azure PaaS services - app services, API Manager, Redis, App Insights, Service bus, Blob storage etc.
  • Microservices Architecture 
  • Implementation of Azure Cloud Design Patterns

Support: 

  • Provide consultative support in designing web applications solutions
  • Support QA team with clarifications / doubts 
  • Delivery and deployment of the releases to different environments
  • Liase with a learning group to provide input into training materials
  • Provide input to standards and guidelines and implement best practices to enable consistency across all projects
  • Participate in the continuous improvement processes, as assigned

Product Engineering

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools which empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of related experience as a backend .Net Developer or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • 3+ years of recent experience utilizing .Net Core, Microservices, and Azure development platform, Azure SQL DB, Micro-Frontend, SPA pattern
  • Recent experience supporting Azure environments including but not limited to Azure PaaS services – app services, APIM, Redis, App Insights, etc. & Azure SQL and Service bus, Blob storage, Azure Key vault, Managed Identity Service 
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration may be available
  • Must be located in Hermitage/Nashville, TN or Tampa, FL. Travel to Tampa, FL required quarterly if located in TN
  • Hybrid onsite required: Tuesday-Thursday in Hermitage, TN or Tampa, FL offices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Technology, MIS, Computer Science or a comparable related field and/or 6 years commensurate experience with an Associates Degree and /or 12 years relevant technical experience
  • Ability to script utilizing ReactJS, Javascript, Nodejs, Typescript, SocketIO (Nice to have)
  • Experience leading a group of developers
  • Knowledge on front-end frameworks like React
  • DDD with Event based distributed architecture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate to business leaders
  • Soft skills needed: Self-starter, proactive, approachable, solution-oriented, team player
